I'm Ryan Mazur – a Florida-licensed attorney who left litigation to focus exclusively on legal research and writing for other attorneys. That was 14 years ago. It's still all I do.

I started my career in civil and appellate litigation at a Miami firm, where I spent eight years handling everything from international business disputes and catastrophic personal injury claims to wrongful death actions, title insurance disputes, high-asset divorces, and complex commercial litigation.
In 2012, I founded Mazur Legal Research. The idea was straightforward: take the research and writing skills I’d spent years sharpening and offer them directly to other attorneys – on a project-by-project basis, with no retainers, no overhead, and no middleman.
Thirteen years later, that’s still exactly what I do. I’ve drafted motions and memoranda in federal district courts nationwide, briefed cases before the Second, Third, Fifth, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal, and prepared multiple petitions for writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court. I’ve also developed close working relationships with criminal defense attorneys, drafting successful criminal appeals and pre-trial and post-conviction motions.
Every project gets the same thing: independent research, original argument development, and citation-verified writing – delivered on deadline, white-labeled, and ready for filing.
I’ve drafted briefs and motions at every level of the federal and state court system – from trial-level motions to Supreme Court certiorari petitions.
Deep-dive research across Westlaw. Statutory, regulatory, and case law – in any jurisdiction.
Motions, briefs, memoranda, and demand letters. Drafted from scratch with original argument development.
Appellate briefs at the state & federal level, including Circuit Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court certiorari petitions.
Federal district courts and circuit courts nationwide. Familiar with local rules across dozens of districts.
I live in West Palm Beach, Florida with my wife and daughter. When I'm not writing a brief, I'm probably reading, playing guitar, or pretending this may be the year the Dolphins finally win a playoff game – 25 years and counting.
