Rates Starting at
Just $145/hr

I offer comprehensive legal research and writing services, performed by a licensed and experienced Florida attorney. Whether it’s drafting pleadings, motions, opposing a summary judgment motion or filing an appeal, I have the knowledge and experience to help.

My standard hourly rate for legal research and writing projects is $145/hr, with a typical turnaround time of seven business days. It’s the bottom line price you pay. I don’t charge my customers for Lexis usage, and I do not bill for time spent on the phone, on emails, or for any other hidden charges. I also provide email summaries of my findings, free of charge.

I offer a rush-rate of $215/hr, with a guaranteed turnaround of 72 hours or less, for those times when you’re faced with a pressing deadline.

I always provide customers with a cost budget, so you’ll know the maximum amount of time I’ll spend on your project before I get started. I never exceed those estimates without first obtaining your approval.

Here are some examples of my rates for typical legal research and writing projects:

  • E-mail or telephone report, including a short synopsis on one issue: $450 – $750

  • One-issue memorandum focused on state law: $850 – $1,450

  • Two issue memorandum focused on state law: $1,450 – $2,200

  • State Appellate Court or Federal Circuit Court of Appeals signature-ready brief (single issue): $4,500 – $6,500

  • State Appellate Court or Federal Circuit Court of Appeals signature-ready brief (multiple issues): $6,500 – $10,000

In short, because this is what I excel at. Complex legal research and writing is what I’ve done for over a decade now, and it shows. You’ll deal directly with me through every step of the process. Guaranteed.

My standard hourly rate is $145/hr. It’s the bottom-line price you pay. I don’t charge my clients for Lexis usage, telephone calls, emails, or other miscellaneous or hidden charges. I also don’t bill any time spent preparing e-mail summaries, which are provided absolutely free of charge.

Absolutely. Prior to forming the company, I litigated cases in California, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York and Georgia. Since forming Mazur Legal Research back in 2012, I have researched issues in virtually every other state, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. I am comfortable researching issues in whatever state you practice in.

For those assignments that present a potential conflict of interest situation, I will request some basic information regarding your case, including the parties and attorneys involved. This information is cross-referenced against work I have performed in the past, to ensure that I have not performed services for any opposing party and that no conflict exists.

I am committed to maintaining my customer’s confidence and trust. I only request information that is absolutely relevant to the research / writing issues at hand, and I never discuss research projects or cases with others.

Unlike some large research firms who assign work to third-parties, I am the only person who will know the details of your case. I take the issue of confidentiality very seriously. In hiring my company to work for you, I am bound by the Florida Rules of Professional Conduct to maintain information about you, your client and your case in strict confidence.

When you call about a potential new project, we’ll discuss what services you are looking for, and the deadline you’re facing. I can provide supplemental legal authority for an existing motion, or I can draft a signature ready document from scratch.
I am happy to work within a limited budget and offer flat-fee pricing where applicable. Give me a call today, and we can structure a custom fee arrangement for your next research and writing project.

If it involves legal research or legal writing – I can help. I provide everything from appellate briefs, memoranda of law, pleadings, motions, discovery, jury instructions, proposed orders, researching jury verdicts, expert witness reports, and more!
